Position Overview

We are currently seeking motivated, customer-focused, and dependable individuals to join arenaflex as Entry-Level Ramp and Customer Service Agents. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are eager to launch or grow their careers in the aviation industry while working in a role that combines guest interaction with hands-on ramp operations. The Ramp and Customer Service Agent is responsible for a wide range of above-wing and below-wing duties, including assisting travelers, processing baggage, supporting aircraft operations, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Ramp and Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, your daily responsibilities will be diverse and engaging. Your primary duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Guest Assistance and Support: Provide courteous, prompt, and professional assistance to travelers with a variety of travel needs, including answering questions, handling luggage, processing tickets, checking in passengers, and facilitating smooth boarding experiences.
  • Below-Wing Operations: Work outdoors in all weather conditions to perform essential ramp duties such as transporting luggage and cargo, loading and unloading baggage and freight, marshaling aircraft, pushing back planes, and performing aircraft deicing procedures when required.
  • Aircraft Servicing and Security: Conduct thorough aircraft grooming and security checks to ensure that all equipment and surroundings meet safety and operational standards before each flight.
  • Boarding and Gate Operations: Manage boarding and gate responsibilities, including guiding and directing passengers, making clear and accurate announcements, processing standby and upgrade requests, and ensuring an organized and efficient boarding process.
  • Baggage Handling and Claims: Process and secure guest baggage with care, maintain accurate records of baggage claims, and address any issues related to damaged, delayed, or missing luggage promptly and professionally.
  • Loading and Unloading: Operate conveyor belts and other ground support equipment to load and unload baggage and cargo safely and efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Support: As directed by management, assist with various tasks of differing complexity to ensure complete guest satisfaction and smooth operational flow.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support the overall success of the team and the organization.

Required Qualifications, Education, and Skills

To succeed in this role at arenaflex, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to interact professionally with diverse groups of people.
  • Multitasking Ability: Proven capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and operate computerized reservation and check-in systems.
  • Typing Speed: A minimum typing speed of 25 words per minute is required.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and handle equipment and luggage as needed.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately.
  • Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Training Commitment: Availability to participate in paid training, which may require overnight travel.
  • Additional Certifications: Depending on the work location, the ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification may be necessary.
  • Airport Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain airport-issued security credentials.
  • Language Requirement: Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following experience will be considered a strong plus:

  • At least one year of customer service or community service experience, demonstrating a commitment to helping others and working in a service-oriented environment.

Compensation and Benefits
