What You'll Do Every Day

As a frontline patient advocate at arenaflex, you'll be the first point of contact for patients seeking clarity, comfort, and solutions regarding their pharmacy benefits. Your day will be filled with meaningful interactions that require empathy, active listening, and sharp problem-solving skills. Below is a closer look at your key responsibilities:

Patient-Focused Support & Education

  • Respond to Inbound Patient Inquiries: Handle a steady flow of incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers with professionalism, warmth, and efficiency.
  • Explain Pharmacy Benefits Clearly: Help patients understand their pharmacy coverage, including formularies, copay structures, prior authorizations, and specialty medication programs, in language that's easy to grasp.
  • Address Concerns with Empathy: Identify patient concerns quickly and respond with genuine compassion, ensuring every caller feels heard, valued, and supported.
  • Escalate When Necessary: Recognize situations that require clinical or supervisory intervention and route them appropriately to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Documentation & Operational Excellence

  • Real-Time Call Documentation: Accurately document every patient interaction in our CRM and internal systems while maintaining active engagement on the call.
  • Track Patient Interactions: Maintain detailed records that help our care teams identify trends, improve processes, and deliver increasingly personalized support.
  • Adhere to Compliance Standards: Follow HIPAA guidelines, company protocols, and regulatory requirements to protect patient privacy and data integrity.

Continuous Learning & Team Collaboration

What You Should Have to Succeed

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in customer service, call center operations, patient support, or a related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: General PC knowledge, including comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, friendly, and patient manner.
  • Residency: Must reside within 50 miles of Warrendale, PA; Orlando, FL; or Memphis, TN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, insurance, or patient-facing role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmacy benefits, or healthcare regulations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (a plus, but not required).

Compensation

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $17 – $23 USD per hour, depending on relevant factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan, rewarding your contributions to arenaflex's mission and success.

Remote Work Requirements

This is a Work from Home (WFH) / Flex position that allows most work to be performed remotely. To ensure a secure and productive work environment, please note the following requirements:

  • Internet Connectivity: A reliable, wired internet connection (cable broadband or fiber optic) with speeds of at least 10Mbps download / 5Mbps upload is required. Mobile hotspots and wireless-only connections are not acceptable.
  • Equipment: You may need to purchase an Ethernet cord depending on your current setup.
  • Onsite Visits: Employees must be fully vaccinated if they choose to come onsite for any meetings, training, or events.
