Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Billing Data Entry & Verification: Accurately input billing mnemonics, patient addresses, medical codes, insurance carrier details, and other required information from scanned requisitions into arenaflex’s billing platforms.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy, providing clear explanations of billing processes and status updates.
  • Multi‑System Navigation: Seamlessly operate multiple applications—including Microsoft Word, Excel, web‑based portals, and legacy mainframe systems—to retrieve, validate, and record data.
  • Research & Resolution: Conduct basic research within arenaflex’s systems to verify addresses, billing codes, and reject codes; resolve discrepancies to enable re‑billing.
  • Template‑Based Correspondence: Generate letters and other communications using pre‑approved templates, ensuring consistency and compliance with arenaflex standards.
  • Mail Return Processing: Investigate returned mail, update invoices with corrected information, and document actions taken in the billing system.
  • Denial Management: Identify and analyze denied claims caused by coverage gaps, data entry errors, or insurance mismatches; initiate corrective actions for re‑submission.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform routine checks for data accuracy, flagging potential issues before they affect downstream processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, quality teams, and other functional groups to share insights and improve overall workflow efficiency.

Essential Qualifications – What We Require

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in data entry, preferably within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience, with the ability to handle inquiries politely and effectively.
  • Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, enabling clear communication with a diverse patient base.
  • Strong computer literacy, including comfort with Windows PCs, web applications, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

  • Availability to work a full 40‑hour week during standard business hours (Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm), with occasional overtime on weekends or holidays as business needs dictate.
