Title: Remote Licensed Medicare Agent Location: Remote Job Type: Contract (6 Months+) Compensation: $24/hr + Commission Industry: Insurance Hours: July–October: 37.5 hours per week | October–December: Full-time hours with unlimited overtime available during peak AEP season About The Role Our client, a large national organization in the insurance and employee benefits space, is seeking Remote Licensed Medicare Agents to support the upcoming Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). This is a temporary, fully remote opportunity for experienced sales professionals who are knowledgeable in Medicare products and passionate about helping individuals make informed healthcare coverage decisions. In this role, you will speak with Medicare-eligible members through a steady flow of pre-scheduled appointments and inbound opportunities—no cold calling required. This assignment is expected to run from August through January, with increased hours and unlimited overtime available during peak enrollment season. Agents will work business hours in their local time zone. This is a great opportunity for licensed Medicare professionals seeking a structured remote role with strong earning potential through hourly pay plus commission.
Job Description
The Remote Licensed Medicare Agent will support a high-volume enrollment season by educating prospective members on available Medicare plan options and guiding them through the enrollment process in a compliant and customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled sales appointments with Medicare-eligible individuals in a fully remote environment
- Assist members with understanding Medicare Advantage, Part D, and Medicare Supplement plan options
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate plan selections based on eligibility and individual preferences
- Complete enrollments accurately and in compliance with CMS and internal quality standards
- Document customer interactions, plan recommendations, and enrollment outcomes in applicable systems
- Respond to overflow inbound calls, especially during the early phase of the assignment as call volume increases
- Meet or exceed individual sales and enrollment goals
- Deliver a high level of service while maintaining professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
- Follow approved scripts, call handling procedures, and regulatory guidelines
Schedule
- August–October: 37.5 hours per week
- October–December: Full-time hours with unlimited overtime available during peak AEP season
- Work Hours: Business hours in your local time zone
- Work Setting: 100% remote
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active Health & Life, Accident & Health, or equivalent insurance license
- At least 1 year of Medicare insurance sales experience
- Working knowledge of Medicare products, including:
- Medicare Advantage
- Prescription Drug Plans (Part D)
- Medicare Supplement plans
- Strong verbal communication, listening, and consultative sales skills
- Ability to explain plan options, benefits, and costs clearly to customers
- Experience working in a fast-paced, goal-driven sales or call center environment
- Ability to maintain compliance with CMS regulations and enrollment standards
- Proficiency navigating multiple systems while speaking with customers
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and secure home office setup
- Willingness to work increased hours and overtime during peak enrollment season
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current AHIP certification or ability to obtain prior to start
- Previous experience supporting Medicare AEP or OEP campaigns
- Prior telesales, inbound sales, or remote call center experience
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales and enrollment goals
- Experience handling high-volume inbound call workflows
