Role Overview

The Customer Service Representative position at arenaflex is a pivotal front‑line role that ensures every shopper experiences a welcoming, efficient, and safe environment. You will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them through product selection, handling transactions, and maintaining a tidy, well‑stocked store. Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Service

  • Greet each customer with a warm, approachable demeanor, establishing a positive first impression.
  • Assist shoppers in locating merchandise, answering product‑related questions, and offering recommendations that align with their needs.
  • Maintain an active presence on the sales floor to anticipate customer needs and resolve issues before they arise.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit, and digital payments with precision.
  • Provide clear, courteous explanations of store policies, promotions, and return procedures.

Store Maintenance & Merchandising

  • Unload deliveries from trucks, verify shipment contents, and transport merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor.
  • Organize and arrange products on shelves, ensuring items are faced, labeled, and stocked according to arenaflex visual standards.
  • Conduct regular shelf audits to identify low‑stock items, misplaced products, or damaged goods, and take corrective action promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly store environment by sweeping aisles, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring checkout areas are tidy.
  • Support loss‑prevention initiatives by staying vigilant to suspicious activity and reporting concerns to management.

Safety, Health, and Compliance

  • Adhere to arenaflex’s health and safety protocols, including the use of plexiglass barriers, face masks, and gloves where required.
  • Participate in pre‑shift health screenings and encourage fellow associates to do the same, fostering a safe workplace.
  • Follow social‑distancing guidelines, maintaining at least six feet between yourself and customers during peak periods.
  • Utilize hand sanitizer stations and cleaning supplies throughout the shift to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately to management for timely resolution.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to comprehend and follow retail operational documents is required.
  • Experience: Prior experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, grocery, or pharmacy settings is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of regularly lifting up to 40 lb (occasionally up to 55 lb), and performing frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting tasks.
