Senior Full Stack Engineer (Frontend-Leaning)

With intelligent framing, remote control, image settings corrections, and visual effects, Iris integrates directly with Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras and robotic camera heads to automate complex movements and track subjects in real-time. We are seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing our cutting-edge, browser-based application. In this position, you will work on a complex single-page application (SPA) built with React and TypeScript, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with frontend technologies.

• Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance, feature-rich React / TypeScript frontend

• Implement complex functionalities and processing capabilities within the frontend, ensuring a seamless user experience

• Work on projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables

• Optimize the frontend for performance, scalability, and reliability

• Work with the complexities of high quality and high performance video systems and the realities of the internet

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ML and Backend Engineers, to integrate AI modules or other algorithms with specific requirements and constraints

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the Iris Platform

• Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, and incorporate them into the application as appropriate

• Proven experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer, with a strong track record of delivering complex, high-performance SPAs

• Deep expertise in React and its ecosystem, including state management libraries

• Experience optimizing frontend performance and implementing best practices for scalability

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively when faced with technical challenges

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote team environment

• Passion for creating exceptional user experiences and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code

• Familiarity with WebRTC, WebAssembly, and WebGPU is a plus, comfort in working with all three is a must

• You have a genuine passion for computer science and software engineering, and you enjoy working on personal projects outside of work

• You are proactive in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field
