Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS) builds the systems that host the world’s largest e-Commerce products catalog. Within this organization, we develop Applications and Infrastructure that define how the catalog schema should be organized. This is crucial to all the systems depending on the Catalog ranging from sellers, shoppers and internal systems. We seek an experienced Technical Program Manager to define strategy and drive execution of Discovery initiatives. This problem space includes development of systems capable of processing data and understanding how the catalog should evolve, finding new product information and leveraging AI techniques to scale across countries and languages. This problem is critical to many systems across Amazon because how we define the Catalog, is how other systems will make decisions. In specific, this role will help build a new Discovery functionality spanning new services and applications that requires gaining an almost real-time deep understanding of all the e-commerce traffic. As a Sr. TPM in this role, you will collaborate closely with a team of software developers, managers, developers, Applied Scientists and leaders across organization to deliver solutions into production. You will establishing partnerships with other businesses such as Retail/Category, Operations, Search, to prioritize and translate requirements into technical specifications. You will have end to end ownership - from defining the strategy, working with engineering to build the solution, and measuring metrics to monitoring progress across the entire Amazon eCommerce pipeline. You will be the advocate for products/services owned by the org and will provide direct visibility to senior leadership on all aspects of your programs on a regular cadence.
