Our client A giant Tier1 Manufacturing Firm, focussing on Electrification, ADAS, Connectivity & Software-defined Vehicles... Overview of the role Tasked with maintaining and building on existing relationships as well as generating sales from new customers, whilst ensuring customer trust and satisfaction is kept. High level contact with the customer at executive level with a real strategic focus. What the client wants • Automotive & Transportation division in the USA is looking for a salesperson with 10+ years of experience in car makers, OEMs/ODMs or Tier 1 for the automotive industry. • 5+ years of experience in business development for e-vehicle related industry. • A mover and shaker, someone with a great network and pre existing relationships with decision makers in various car makers or Tier 1. • Proven New Business Development winner, with a clear track record of success. • Experience in electrification, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connectivity and/or software-defined vehicle (SDV). • EMS knowledge would be helpful to understand business models Build-to-Print (BTP) and/or Build-to-Spec (BTS). Skills and Qualifications • Proficient in comprehending, analysing, and articulating information from typical scientific and technical publications, financial reports, and legal documents. • Skilled in addressing common inquiries or concerns from customers, regulatory bodies, or business community members. • Capable of delivering information effectively to executive management, public audiences, and board members. • Adept at problem-solving and managing various practical scenarios with limited standardization. Able to interpret diverse instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled formats. • Extensive knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry practices. • Demonstrated expertise in assessing logistics needs to support the company's business objectives, with the ability to develop and execute strategies for achieving targets. • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills. Proficient in utilizing business analytics to determine the optimal company footprint. • Proven track record of successful change management initiatives, including the implementation and oversight of continuous productivity and cost-reduction programs. Education and Experience: • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred. • Preferably 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Director, or a combination of relevant education, experience, and/or training in automotive manufacturing, OEMs/ODMs, or Tier 1 suppliers. • Previous experience in sales within contract manufacturing is highly desirable.
