Product Writer and Reviewer

WIRED is seeking a Product Writer and Reviewer to test, review, and write about consumer products across various categories. The role involves creating engaging content that resonates with WIRED's voice while providing valuable recommendations to readers. The position is full-time and allows for telecommuting, requiring a candidate who is experienced in writing consumer-focused product reviews and has a passion for personal technology.
Responsibilities
- Write reviews, buying guides, how-tos, deals roundups, and features. ,
- Pitch ideas for expanding the library of related content. ,
- Research to ensure product choices are on-trend and on-brand. ,
- Use tools to size potential audience and affiliate revenue opportunities. ,
- Provide valuable reader service with useful buying recommendations. ,
- Request new products for review and thoroughly test them. ,
- Apply SEO and commerce linking best practices to all content. ,
- Assist with video support for reviews by writing scripts and/or appearing on camera. ,
- Organize and manage time efficiently, take initiative, and communicate effectively.
Requirements
- Experience writing and/or editing consumer-focused product reviews and guides. ,
- Strong understanding of personal technology and consumer products. ,
- Ability to write in a conversational style that aligns with WIRED's voice.
