About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Specialist to join our team in the Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction industry. As a Materials Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective flow of materials throughout our organization. You will work closely with our Materials Management team to develop and implement material plans, oversee material storage, and manage material handling equipment. Your ultimate goal will be to ensure that our materials are handled safely and efficiently, while minimizing waste and maximizing productivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in materials management or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of material flow, material handling, and warehouse management
  • Experience with material handling equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in the Mining, Quarrying, and Oil and Gas Extraction industry
  • Experience with SAP or other materials management software

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement material plans to ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the organization
  • Oversee material storage to ensure that materials are stored safely and efficiently
  • Manage material handling equipment to ensure that it is used safely and effectively
  • Collaborate with the Materials Management team to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental health and safety regulations

Skills:

As a Materials Specialist, you will use your expertise in material flow, materials management, and material handling to ensure that our organization operates efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with our Materials Management team to develop and implement material plans, oversee material storage, and manage material handling equipment. You will also use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations will be critical to ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment.
