Nursing Assistant Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist in delivering high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and urgent care facilities. Your responsibilities will include helping patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. Responsibilities ? Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. ? Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. ? Provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. ? Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques. ? Assist in the movement of patients using proper lifting techniques. ? Support nursing staff with administrative tasks as needed, including documentation in eClinicalWorks. ? Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. ? Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to hospital medicine, critical care, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment). Requirements ? Previous experience in patient care or as a Nursing Assistant is preferred but not required. ? Knowledge of hospital medicine practices and procedures is a plus. ? Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous. ? Ability to perform critical care tasks effectively in high-pressure situations. ? Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. ? Must be able to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed. ?
