About the position As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a crucial role in assisting applicants through the mortgage lending process. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage the complexities of loan processing while ensuring compliance with all lending and regulatory guidelines. You will work closely with mortgage loan officers to assemble and submit loan packages to lender underwriters for approval or denial. Your responsibilities will include inputting detailed loan process documentation into our system, obtaining necessary property documentation, and interviewing prospective loan applicants to help them find the best loan products for their needs. This dynamic role is essential to our well-established and successful lending team, and we are looking for someone who is not only skilled but also passionate about providing excellent service to our clients. In this position, you will be expected to adhere to all lending and regulatory guidelines while preparing loan files. Your analytical skills, time management abilities, and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of two years of experience in loan processing, as well as knowledge of FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loan products. Responsibilities • Assemble and submit loan packages to the lender underwriters for approval or denial , • Input detailed loan process documentation in our system - from origination to close , • Obtain property documentation to process mortgage loan files, including appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records , • Interview prospective loan applicants and assist them in finding the best loan products for their needs , • Adhere to all lending and regulatory guidelines and policies while preparing the loan file Requirements • FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loan product knowledge and mortgage lending experience required , • Superb analytical skills, time management skills, and attention to detail , • 2 years minimum experience in loan processing required , • High school diploma or GED required , • Preferred: Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business , • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-haves
