Lead OB Home Care Nurse - Hybrid - Plantation FL Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred

About the position The position involves providing skilled nursing care in a home care environment, focusing on assessing, planning, and documenting the nursing process while educating patients and their families. The role includes managing home care site operations and requires a blend of travel and remote work in the South Florida area. The position also entails supervisory responsibilities and participation in budget management, staff compliance monitoring, and patient care coordination. Responsibilities • Provide skilled nursing care in a home care environment. , • Assess, plan, and document the homecare nursing process. , • Educate and provide instruction to patients and their families. , • Assist in the management of home care site operations. , • Participate in recruitment, hiring, orientation, and evaluation of homecare site personnel. , • Monitor staff compliance with ongoing education and training programs. , • Maintain competency on all services provided according to policy. , • Individualize patient assessments based on care/services being provided and patient need. , • Ensure interventions respect and encourage the patient's ability to make choices. , • Educate patients and families with a systematic approach to promote understanding of treatment and services. , • Coordinate care with patient services centers, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals. , • Accurately communicate patient status information to prescribing physician. , • Complete clinical record documentation per Optum policy in a timely manner. , • Participate in holiday and weekend duties as scheduled. Requirements • Current unrestricted nursing license (RN) for state of residence. , • 1+ years of obstetrical nursing experience. , • 12 months of Charge Nurse Hospital Experience and/or Clinical Management/Leadership experience. , • Proficiency in desktop/laptop computer use, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. , • Proven exceptional communication skills (written and verbal). , • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities.
