Payroll & Benefits Analyst

Your Impact: As a Payroll & Benefits Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll operations and benefits administration. Key responsibilities include assisting in processing payroll, reconciling payroll data, auditing and managing self-funded benefits billing, assisting employees with benefits enrollment and inquiries, verifying insurance billing accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all required benefit notices and regulations. This position combines analytical expertise with a focus on delivering excellent service to employees and maintaining organizational compliance. Core Responsibilities: • Audit and Billing: • Audit self-bills in the AdminaHealth system. • Review benefits invoices and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payment of self-funded bills.

Benefits

Administration: • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure payroll systems reflect accurate benefits changes for deductions. • Assist employees with claims related to health, dental, life, and other benefits. • Collaborate with third-party benefits administrators to submit UKG tickets when needed. • Audit Health Savings Account (HSA) totals after each payroll and send details to accounting. • Support the Compensation Manager in gathering information for health, life, and retirement plan renewals. • Support open enrollment processes with the Compensation Manager. Payroll Support: • Assist Payroll Specialists with audits and research payroll discrepancies. • Collaborate with UKG to resolve tax-related issues or updates. • Prepare monthly PTO reports for accounting. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll systems to ensure accurate configurations. Audits and Reporting: • Assist with 401(k) funding and annual audits. • Conduct compliance testing, reporting, and audits related to payroll and benefits. Core Experience: • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments and external partners. • Strong auditing skills in payroll and benefits. • Integrity, punctuality, and reliability, with an understanding of payroll urgency. • Intermediate-level Excel skills are highly preferred. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines. • Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with UKG and AdminaHealth is a plus. • Ability to communicate effectively via phone and online platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
