About the position The Payment Innovation Director II at Elevance Health is responsible for researching, designing, and developing innovative payment solutions for healthcare providers. This role involves collaborating with providers, validating business requirements, and leading multi-stakeholder teams to execute payment innovation strategies. The director will also create value-based payment concepts, conduct market analysis, and represent the company in external meetings. Responsibilities • Drives the execution of payment innovation strategies. , • Performs complex market and competitive analysis, engaging provider technical and clinical teams and cross-functional teams. , • Collects business requirements. , • Creates Value Based Payment concepts. , • Writes High Level Business Requirements documents. , • Creates business case and ROI analysis. , • Initiates business solution development and guides solution launch activities. , • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs. , • Translates complex information and coordinates communication of key decisions and accomplishments. , • Leads special projects/initiatives. , • Represents the company in external meetings and influences the payer and healthcare industry. Requirements • BA/BS in business or related field. , • Minimum of 12 years of experience in healthcare systems. , • 8 years of experience in a strategy role. Nice-to-haves • MBA, MPH, or other related master's degree preferred. , • Previous experience designing, managing, or implementing alternative payment models (APMs) and value-based care programs strongly preferred. , • Ability to work independently and as part of a team on multiple projects; detail-oriented and solution-focused. , • Highly efficient in written and verbal communication; ability to engage, influence, and drive consensus.
