Sales Associate - Tools

Lowe's is hiring for Sales Associate - Tools What You Will Do: As a Sales Associate in the Tools department at Lowe's, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with their tool-related needs. This means: • Assisting Customers: Helping customers with selecting tools, power equipment, and accessories, and providing information on usage and maintenance. • Maintaining Product Knowledge: Staying informed about the latest tools, equipment, and technologies to provide accurate information and recommendations. • Processing Transactions: Accurately processing sales transactions, including operating cash registers and handling financial transactions. • Ensuring Product Availability: Stocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring products are well-displayed and organized. • Promoting Safety: Following all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the safe operation of tools and equipment. • Providing Excellent Customer Service: Listening to customers, understanding their needs, and providing solutions to ensure a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities: • Assist customers with selecting tools, power equipment, and accessories. • Provide information on tool usage, maintenance, and features. • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. • Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels. • Follow safety procedures and guidelines for tools and equipment. • Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer issues. What We're Looking For: • Hourly Full-Time or Part-Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 hours per week for full-time or up to 25 hours per week for part-time; more hours may be required based on store needs. • Availability: Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance. What You Need To Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: • 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. • 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets. • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law. Preferred Qualifications: • 6 months of sales experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs, including add-on sales and explaining product features and benefits. • 6 months of retail experience providing customer service, including resolving customer issues and assisting customers in locating products. • Bi-lingual skills, if applicable to the store.
