Summary of Position The Clinical Quality Specialist is a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) position that focuses on supporting Teladoc’s robust Clinical Operations Network Quality program. This includes review, research and reporting member complaints and inquiries, reviewing provider consults for standards/clinical appropriateness and following processes and policies for quality monitoring of care delivery and provider training. This position will be specifically dedicated to our focused review efforts centered around our provider-member interactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs focused clinical reviews centered around quality-of-care standards; thorough documentation skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking is a daily expectation in this role.
  • Documentation of clinical reviews within incident management system (RL Datix), ensuring that all processes are followed, appropriate escalation and follow-up is completed.
  • Ability to manage high-volume of reviews, prioritizing tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Contributes to the day-to-day deliverables of RL Datix requests (file clean-up, reports requests, possible assistance with file triage)
  • Support clinical quality reporting and process needs associated with RL Datix (Intermediate to Advanced level of performance in Microsoft Excel and Visio)
  • Assist in maintaining monthly department dashboard; collecting and aggregating data, producing dashboard graphs/charts in an ongoing, recurring cadence
  • Provide data analysis and trends based on report outputs; work with department peers and leaders to identify opportunities based on insights
  • Recommend process improvements and efficiencies to continuously improve the department (Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or higher, certification preferred)
  • Works to ensure internal stakeholders understand applicable standards, policies and procedures, and efforts needed to maintain compliance.
  • Generates process reporting and performance statistics of quality-of-care reviews. Monitor, track, and trend through incident reporting and facilitate appropriate provider reviews.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including data entry, tracking and process administration tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree
  • LVN or LPN license require
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience as an LVN, or LPN required
  • Strong medical writing/documentation skills required
  • Experience with project management tools, spreadsheets, tracking deliverables and issues, meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand health data and prepare reports both manually in Excel, and from an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Works well under pressure with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
  • Must have a high level of reason and data analytical skills with ability to be objective in reviewing all types of business and systems data
  • Comfort with change, uncertainty, and proceeding without a previous roadmap
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating through multiple levels in the organization
  • Ability to set up project teams, necessary work streams and executive steering committees

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred
  • 1 year in a Healthcare Quality experience preferred
  • Quality Management, Patient Safety, and/or Risk Management experience preferred
  • Previous clinical chart review experience preferred
  • Familiar with drafting and implementing policies and procedures

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
