Remote Pharmacist Must be local to Buffalo New York! Job DescriptionThe clinical pharmacist position is responsible for participating in a wide range of provider, patient, and employer initiatives and programs. This role supports various lines of business, including Medicare, Commercial, Exchange (Marketplace), and Medicaid, managing quality, appropriateness, safety, and cost for these member populations. The pharmacist will conduct prior authorization reviews, focusing on the pharmacy benefit side of the industry.ResponsibilitiesConduct GLP medication reviews, focusing on weight loss and diabetes utilization reviews and prior authorization reviews for the pharmacy and drug benefit side of the business.Complete 40-50 reviews per day after training and ramp-up period of 4 weeks.Review electronically and maintain detailed records.Essential SkillsPharmacy degree and NY State Licensure.Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills.Fundamental knowledge of drug information processes and research capabilities.Experience in clinical pharmacy, including patient management to serve as a professional liaison with internal and external in Microsoft Word and Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with healthcare professionals and Skills & QualificationsPharmD or Bachelor of Science accepted.Managed care experience preferred.Experience in retail pharmacy is advantageous.Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems.Comfortable with contract work.Work EnvironmentThis role offers a 100% remote work environment with hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must be local to Buffalo New York for occasional travel that may be required within New York State and neighboring areas. The position involves significant time spent at a computer and using the telephone, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The environment is fast-paced, with frequent interactions outside the immediate work area and with external customers. High-level interpersonal interaction is expected, with significant contact with outside vendors, providers, and customers.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
