About arenaflex

arenaflex is reimagining the way technology powers customer experiences in the insurance and financial services industry. As a forward-thinking, innovation-driven organization, we are moving beyond traditional IT models to become a true engineering powerhouse—one where technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a culture of psychological safety are at the heart of everything we build. Our mission is to engineer seamless, secure, and high-performing platforms that redefine how customers interact with the products and services they depend on every day.

At arenaflex, you won't just be writing code. You will be a catalyst for transformation—helping modernize legacy systems, designing resilient distributed platforms, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions at scale. We believe that great engineering happens when talented individuals are empowered to collaborate, experiment, and lead. If you are passionate about building low-latency, high-performance systems and want to make a meaningful impact on the future of customer acquisition technology, arenaflex is the place for you.

Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer for CRM Customer Acquisitions to join our remote engineering team. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the development of mission-critical platforms that support customer acquisition workflows, with a particular focus on CRM integrations and scalable enterprise applications. You will work closely with Salesforce CRM, Infrastructure, Architecture, Release Management, Application Security, and Business Product Owner teams to design, build, and deliver solutions that reimagine traditional processes and elevate the customer experience.

Our engineering culture thrives in a hyper-growth, fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly and quality is non-negotiable. The ideal candidate brings broad and deep technical knowledge—ranging from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems and everything in between—and is equally comfortable designing distributed architectures, mentoring peers, and leading code reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems that power customer acquisition journeys and CRM workflows.
  • Define product requirements in partnership with business stakeholders and leverage your technical expertise to drive toward the right solution.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate engineering quality, share knowledge, and foster continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Define, create, and support reusable application components, design patterns, and frameworks from both business and technology perspectives.
  • Utilize developer tooling and a variety of cloud services across the software development lifecycle—including task management, source control, build pipelines, deployment automation, operations, and real-time communication—to perform advanced-level Java application design, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Mentor other engineers, helping them grow technically and professionally while reinforcing best practices across teams.
  • Consistently share best practices, identify process improvements, and contribute to the evolution of engineering standards at arenaflex.
  • Build and configure integrations utilizing event-based frameworks and enterprise middleware platforms to ensure seamless data flow across systems.

Essential Qualifications

  • Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including a strong foundation in object-oriented design principles.
  • Solid understanding of web service integration (REST/SOAP) and enterprise middleware integration tiers, including experience with frameworks such as Apache Camel, Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead projects from the front and interact regularly with clients, sponsors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Demonstrated experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems, with deep knowledge of architecture patterns, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps concepts and cloud architecture, with experience in continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
  • Working experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git commands, and GitHub source control.
  • Experience with enterprise integrations utilizing event-based frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as MS SQL Server and Oracle.

Required Experience

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design.
  • 3+ years of experience building the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service provider.
  • 2+ years of experience working with open-source frameworks.

Preferred (Desired) Experience

  • Experience with Salesforce standard objects/records, custom object creation, validation rules, and relationships.
  • Knowledge of building and configuring Salesforce flows and process builders.
  • Experience with Salesforce Apex, SOQL, Visualforce, and Lightning Aura / LWC components.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CDP (Customer Data Platform).
  • Experience with Flutter and React for front-end development.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.

Skills and Competencies for Success

  • Technical Leadership: Ability to lead design discussions, drive technical decisions, and mentor engineers at all levels.
  • Systems Thinking: A holistic approach to building distributed, fault-tolerant systems with long-term scalability in mind.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across multiple teams, including product, architecture, security, and operations.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where priorities evolve rapidly.
  • Quality Orientation: Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Continuous Learning: A growth mindset with a passion for staying current on emerging technologies and industry best practices.
