In the Specialty Mail Request team, the Pharmacy Technician – Data Entry Specialist plays a pivotal part in the journey from prescription to patient. Key Responsibilities

  • Enter prescription and claim information into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the pharmacy team to route complex medication orders to the appropriate pharmacist for final verification.
  • Communicate with physicians, prescribers, and insurance representatives to resolve authorization, eligibility, and reimbursement questions.
  • Maintain detailed case notes, track status updates, and ensure all documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment while preserving a high level of customer service.
  • Identify and flag potential data discrepancies, escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
  • Support the Specialty Mail Request group by providing timely updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, suggesting workflow enhancements and process optimizations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related pharmacy setting.
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential in the state of Georgia (or applicable state) is required.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with pharmacy law, HIPAA privacy rules, and insurance claim processing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills, including experience with pharmacy management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry tools.
