  • Enjoy a fully remote work environment with flexible hours, a supportive community, and a clear path for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Platform Development: Design, implement, and maintain end‑to‑end data ingestion pipelines using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Stream Analytics, and Databricks.
  • Cloud Architecture & Operations: Build scalable, secure, and cost‑effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, including infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Data Modeling & Warehousing: Create and evolve dimensional models, data marts, and lakehouse architectures in Snowflake, Azure Synapse, and ADLS to support reporting, BI, and advanced analytics.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine‑tune data pipelines and queries to ensure low latency and high throughput for mission‑critical workloads.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with product teams, data scientists, and business analysts to gather requirements, define data contracts, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Data Governance & Security: Implement data lineage, cataloging (Informatica Axon, Azure Purview), and security controls to protect sensitive information and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers, lead technical workshops, and contribute to internal documentation and best‑practice libraries.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including test‑driven development, automated testing, and code review standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience developing data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure preferred).
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; familiarity with Bash/Unix scripting is a plus.
  • Experience with data storage technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, or similar.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities, with a track record of delivering reliable, production‑grade solutions.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • 3+ years of full‑stack development experience, preferably with Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory).
  • Hands‑on experience with streaming technologies such as Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, or Apache Kafka.
  • Familiarity with Databricks notebooks, Spark, and PySpark for large‑scale data processing.
  • Exposure to BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, and the ability to translate data pipelines into consumable dashboards.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (Informatica Axon, Azure Purview) and data cataloging tools.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar are highly valued.
  • Experience in the airline or travel industry, understanding of revenue management, flight operations, or passenger analytics.
