Position Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic, service‑driven individuals to join our team as Retail Customer Service & Pawnbroker Associates. In this role you will be the face of arenaflex, guiding customers through sales, pawn transactions, and loan extensions with professionalism, empathy, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and engage every customer with a friendly, courteous demeanor, both in‑store and over the phone.
  • Assess, evaluate, and price a wide variety of pawned items—including jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, tools, and other consumer goods—ensuring fair market value and compliance with arenaflex policies.
  • Process sales transactions, pawn loans, loan extensions, and item returns accurately using arenaflex’s point‑of‑sale system.
  • Maintain meticulous records of each transaction, adhering to all regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation, store security checks, and preparation of daily reports.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to achieve store performance goals, share best practices, and support a positive work environment.
  • Identify opportunities to cross‑sell and upsell complementary products and services, contributing to overall store profitability.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training sessions, certification programs, and performance reviews.
  • Uphold arenaflex’s standards for ethical conduct, confidentiality, and customer privacy at all times.

  • Store Manager in Training (SMIT): The pinnacle of the pathway is a 12‑week intensive program that equips future store leaders with the skills to run their own arenaflex location.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in customer service, retail sales, or cash handling is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Demonstrated reliability, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Basic familiarity with common pawned items (jewelry, electronics, tools, etc.) is a plus.
  • Sales experience or a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a valuable asset.
