About the Role

As a Remote Chat Agent at arenaflex, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers reaching out through live chat, email, and other digital communication platforms. Your primary mission will be to deliver outstanding customer service while representing arenaflex's commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation. You will handle a variety of customer inquiries ranging from account management and billing questions to service troubleshooting, product information, and promotional engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Customer Engagement: Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries received through live chat, email, SMS, and other approved digital communication channels, maintaining arenaflex's high standards for tone, accuracy, and empathy.
  • Issue Resolution: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of customer concerns including account access issues, billing discrepancies, service interruptions, meter reading inquiries, and general product or service questions.
  • Product & Service Education: Provide clear, accurate, and helpful information about arenaflex's full portfolio of energy services, products, pricing plans, energy-saving programs, renewable options, and promotional offerings.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Assist customers with navigating online account portals, mobile applications, payment systems, and self-service tools, escalating technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams including technical support, billing specialists, field operations, and sales to resolve complex or multi-departmental customer issues efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Sales & Retention Support: Identify opportunities to recommend additional arenaflex services, upgrades, or energy-efficient solutions that align with customer needs, while meeting or exceeding established performance and conversion metrics.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document all customer interactions, issues, and resolutions within the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and contributing to continuous improvement insights.
  • Compliance & Quality: Adhere to all arenaflex policies, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance standards, including data privacy, energy industry regulations, and customer communication guidelines.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on arenaflex product updates, industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in customer service to deliver informed and effective support.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in a call center, chat support, retail, hospitality, or related environment. Experience in the energy, utilities, or subscription-based service industry is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written communication skills with a strong command of grammar, spelling, tone, and clarity. You must be able to convey warmth, professionalism, and authority through text-based interactions.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess situations, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions quickly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating multiple software platforms simultaneously, including CRM systems (such as Salesforce, Zendesk, or HubSpot), chat platforms, ticketing systems, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, manage multiple conversations concurrently, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities, new products, or evolving customer needs.
  • Remote Work Readiness: A reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet and dedicated workspace free from distractions, and a professional, camera-ready appearance for occasional video meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a fully remote or hybrid customer support role.
  • Familiarity with the energy services, utilities, or renewable energy industries.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales or upselling performance metrics in a customer-facing role.
  • Multilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, French, or other languages spoken in arenaflex's service areas.
