Senior Examiner of Business Knowledge – Retail Media Data Analytics & Visualization (Remote, Part-Time)
About arenaflex and the Opportunity
arenaflex is proud to partner with one of the most dynamic and rapidly expanding retail media networks in the United States — a division that is redefining how consumer brands connect with audiences through data-driven advertising. As the fourth-largest enterprise of its kind in the nation, this organization has built a reputation for innovation, scale, and measurable impact. Within this ecosystem, the CMX (Consumer Media Exchange) division stands out as a quickly developing retail media arm, offering talented professionals the chance to influence strategic decisions across product, marketing, sales, and operations.
This remote, part-time position is more than a job — it's a chance to be part of a high-performing team that thrives on curiosity, collaboration, and the relentless pursuit of insight. As a Senior Examiner of Business Knowledge, you will operate at the intersection of data extraction, visualization, and cross-functional storytelling. You will be entrusted with transforming raw information into clear narratives that shape business outcomes. With a competitive rate of $21 per hour and the flexibility of working entirely from home, this role is ideal for seasoned professionals seeking meaningful work without sacrificing work-life balance.
If you are detail-oriented, analytically sharp, and passionate about uncovering answers hidden in complex datasets, this opportunity at arenaflex is designed for you.
Position Overview
The Senior Examiner of Business Knowledge will report directly to the Overseer of Business Insight (Director of Business Intelligence) and will serve as a critical driver of information-driven dynamic interaction with cross-functional partners. You will collaborate with leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and Data Science to ensure that the data fueling strategic decisions is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
This is a singular contributor role — meaning you will own your work end-to-end, from sourcing data to delivering polished insights. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment where meticulous attention to detail meets big-picture thinking, and where questions that could "go either way" are welcomed as opportunities to dive deeper.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Aggregation
- Identify, extract, and consolidate data from a variety of sources — including internal databases, third-party platforms, and cloud-based warehouses — into robust, structured reports.
- Ensure data integrity throughout the extraction process, flagging anomalies and resolving discrepancies before they reach stakeholders.
- Build repeatable, scalable extraction workflows that reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time.
Data Visualization & Reporting
- Develop intuitive, visually compelling dashboards and reports using modern visualization tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
- Translate complex datasets into clear narratives that empower stakeholders at every organizational level to make informed, data-backed decisions.
- Guarantee accuracy, clarity, and visual consistency in all data presentations, tailoring formats to the audience — from executive summaries to deep-dive analytical views.
- Continuously refine reporting standards to elevate the quality and impact of insights delivered across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with cross-functional teams — including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations — to streamline data collection, storage, and analysis processes.
- Provide subject-matter expertise and consultation on data-related initiatives, projects, and strategic initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to non-technical stakeholders, helping them understand how to leverage data effectively within their domains.
- Champion a culture of data literacy by mentoring colleagues on best practices for interpreting and applying insights.
Data Quality Assurance & Integrity
- Implement rigorous quality assurance processes to maintain the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data used for insights and reporting.
- Proactively identify potential risks, data gaps, or integrity issues, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them.
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to establish data governance standards and ensure consistent data definitions across the enterprise.
- Document data lineage, methodologies, and quality checks to support auditability and transparency.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in SQL, with hands-on expertise in BigQuery or comparable data warehouse platforms.
- 4+ years of experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar enterprise-grade platforms.
- 4+ years of experience conducting data analysis, with a proven ability to derive meaningful insights from large and complex datasets.
- 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros) and PowerPoint (executive-level presentations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding and hands-on experience working within the digital media technology stack, including ad-serving platforms and audience segmentation tools.
- Familiarity with DMPs (Data Management Platforms), DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), SSPs (Supply-Side Platforms), Google Cloud Platform, and Adobe Marketing Cloud.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and across functional boundaries.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to translate analytical findings into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
