About arenaflex and the Student Success Coach Role

As a Student Success Coach at arenaflex, you will serve as a trusted mentor, guide, and motivator for a dedicated group of students working toward their degrees. Your primary responsibility will be to walk alongside each student throughout their entire educational journey, from their first day of enrollment through graduation. You will challenge them when they need pushing, motivate them when they feel stuck, support them when they struggle, and celebrate with them when they succeed.

This is not a typical high-volume call center position where you read from scripts and rush through interactions. Instead, you will have the opportunity to build genuine relationships, provide personalized coaching, and create an environment where students feel safe sharing their aspirations, concerns, interests, and challenges. The relationships you build will be the foundation upon which students construct their academic success.

You will work a consistent full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with assigned shifts during arenaflex’s hours of operation. We are open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM Central Daylight Time, and Friday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Daylight Time. We hire talented individuals from all time zones who have availability during these hours, ensuring our students always have access to the support they need, when they need it most.

Key Responsibilities of the Remote Student Success Coach

In this dynamic and rewarding role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Enrollment, Development, and Retention: Deliver exceptional service that supports students from the moment they enroll through every milestone of their educational journey, ensuring a high-quality learning experience that fosters long-term success and program completion.
• Managing a Cohort of Assigned Students: Take ownership of a dedicated group of students and guide each one through their degree program, providing consistent, proactive, and timely outreach that keeps them engaged, motivated, and on track.
• Daily and Weekly Outreach: Conduct regular check-ins and coaching conversations that encourage students as they work to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary for academic excellence.
• Creating a Trusted Environment: Foster a safe, supportive space where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, dreams, concerns, and interests, allowing you to provide truly personalized guidance.
• Resource Navigation and Education: Teach students how to effectively use the wide range of academic resources, tools, and support services available to them, empowering them to maximize their own success.
• Resume Review and Career Development Support: Become a certified resume reviewer through our paid training program, enabling you to provide valuable professional development assistance that extends beyond academics.
• Cross-Departmental Liaison: Act as a vital connection point between students and various departments within arenaflex, ensuring seamless communication and removing barriers that might impede student progress.

Essential Qualifications We Are Looking For

To thrive as a Student Success Coach at arenaflex, candidates must possess the following:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or an international equivalent. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the academic environment in which our students are immersed.
• Relevant Professional Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in academic advising, admissions support, customer service, human resources, counseling, or a related field. Experience that involves helping people navigate complex processes or overcome challenges is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Academic Policies: Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and the broader landscape of higher education, enabling you to provide accurate and helpful guidance to students.
• Technical Aptitude: The ability to learn new software systems, digital tools, and technical processes quickly, as you will be working with multiple platforms to manage student interactions and data.
• Outstanding Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, complemented by active listening skills and a pleasant, professional phone manner that puts students at ease.

Schedule and Remote Work Details

This is a full-time remote position with a standard 8-hour shift. You will work from your home office, which should be a quiet, professional space free from distractions where you can take phone calls and concentrate on coaching conversations. Please note that while this role does not require weekend work on a regular basis, our hours of operation do include Fridays and Saturdays, so some weekend shifts may be part of your schedule. Days off during the week may be assigned to support our operational needs.
