Our culture celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and a relentless focus on delivering value to both our customers and partners. As we expand our digital marketplace, we are looking for passionate professionals who thrive in a remote, fast‑paced environment to join our Product Operations team.

Why This Role Matters

The Product Operations Specialist (also known as the Item Tasks Expert) is the backbone of arenaflex’s marketplace ecosystem. You will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end lifecycle of travel‑related products—such as lodging, vehicle rentals, insurance, and ancillary services—ensuring that they are accurately represented, competitively priced, and flawlessly delivered to our customers. Your work directly impacts revenue growth, partner satisfaction, and the overall travel experience for millions of passengers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketplace Management: Create, maintain, and optimize product listings across arenaflex’s travel marketplace, ensuring data integrity for merchant contracts, pricing, inventory, and product attributes.
  • Pricing & Inventory Control: Develop and enforce pricing and inventory rules for all direct suppliers, monitor stock levels, and adjust strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.
  • Electronic Supplier Integration: Design and implement onboarding processes for electronically connected suppliers, including API configuration, data mapping, and ongoing maintenance.
  • New Product Onboarding: Lead the end‑to‑end onboarding of new travel products, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, set up contracts, and launch offerings.
  • Quality Assurance & Optimization: Conduct regular audits of product data, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy, relevance, and conversion rates.
  • Technology Collaboration: Partner with the Marketplace Platform Engineering team to troubleshoot integration issues, evaluate new technology partners (e.g., IBS, HotelBeds), and act as the primary liaison for external vendors.
  • Data‑Driven Insights: Provide pricing and performance analytics to the Marketing team, supporting promotional campaigns and strategic decision‑making.
  • Cross‑Functional Support: Work closely with the Product Development team to resolve supplier‑related issues, assist other arenaflex departments with product queries, and support crisis management during disruptive events.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Product Operations Manager to develop and execute annual Open‑to‑Buy (OTB) plans, aligning inventory levels with forecasted demand.
  • Operational Excellence: Assist the Operations Manager with inventory reconciliation, product detail updates, and ad‑hoc projects that drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in emergency management protocols, providing critical support during catastrophic events or system outages.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and mutual success.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the broader goals of arenaflex’s product ecosystem.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems using data‑driven approaches.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of initiatives from concept to execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present findings to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in product operations, marketplace management, or a related field within the travel, hospitality, or e‑commerce sectors.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex’s product portfolio, reservation systems, and partner ecosystems.
  • Hands‑on experience with API integrations, data feeds, and third‑party supplier onboarding.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with margin optimization.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms to create dashboards and actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for travel product data management (e.g., OTA, GDS, and CRS).

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret large data sets, identify trends, and translate findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Technical Literacy: Comfort working with SaaS platforms, API documentation, and data integration tools.
  • Project Management: Strong planning and execution capabilities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Communication: Clear, concise, and persuasive communication style, both written and verbal.
  • Collaboration: Proven track record of building effective cross‑functional relationships and influencing outcomes without direct authority.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing environment, quickly pivoting priorities as business needs evolve.
