Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients calling about specialty medication orders, providing courteous, empathetic, and accurate assistance.
  • Verify patient eligibility, benefits, and prior authorizations by collaborating with insurance carriers, prescribers, and internal pharmacy teams.
  • Enter new prescriptions and refill requests into the pharmacy information system with precision, ensuring all clinical and financial criteria are met before fulfillment.
  • Collect and process copay amounts, explain cost structures to patients, and coordinate payment plans when necessary.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve clinical or accounts‑receivable issues that could delay medication delivery, escalating complex cases to senior staff as appropriate.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, insurance communications, and order statuses in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current on evolving specialty drug therapies, insurance policies, and arenaflex’s internal processes.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and elevate the patient experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a high‑volume customer service environment, preferably handling complex inquiries over the phone.
  • Proficiency with Windows‑based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet browsers, and email platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to type accurately and efficiently (keyboarding skills) with a focus on data integrity.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in health‑care support or customer service are a plus.
  • Residency in Tennessee and location within 75 miles of 8370 Wolf Lake Dr Ste 107, Bartlett, TN 38133.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a health‑care setting, especially within pharmacy, insurance, or medical billing environments.
