Remote · USA Full-time New today

Join arenaflex and Bring Humanity to Every Member Interaction

At arenaflex, we believe that healthcare should feel human—even when it happens over the phone, through a chat window, or across a video screen. We are looking for compassionate, curious, and detail-oriented professionals to join our growing remote team as Healthcare Customer Experience Specialists. In this role, you will be the trusted guide who helps members understand their benefits, navigate their health plans, and feel confident about the care available to them. Every conversation you have is an opportunity to brighten someone's day, ease a moment of confusion, and deliver the kind of service that turns a routine call into a meaningful experience.

This is more than a customer service job—it is a chance to build a long-term career in one of the most impactful industries in the world. Healthcare is evolving rapidly, and arenaflex is at the forefront of helping leading health organizations deliver member-centered support at scale. If you have a passion for helping others, a genuine interest in healthcare, and the drive to grow professionally, we want to meet you.

About arenaflex and the Industry We Serve

arenaflex partners with top healthcare organizations across the United States to deliver exceptional member support experiences. Our work blends the art of human connection with the power of smart technology, enabling millions of members to get the answers they need—when and where they need them. From explaining complex benefit details to walking members through online portals, our specialists serve as the bridge between healthcare systems and the people they serve.

The healthcare customer experience industry is booming, driven by the increasing demand for personalized, accessible, and empathetic support. As a specialist at arenaflex, you will be part of a purpose-driven team that is reshaping how members engage with their health plans. Whether you're helping someone find an in-network provider, walking them through enrollment, or simply listening with care, your role matters—and we make sure you have the tools, training, and support to do it well.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

As a Healthcare Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, your primary mission is to deliver outstanding service to members while helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare. No two days are exactly alike, but your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Recommending Health Plan Upgrades: Using your strong product and brand knowledge, you will compassionately guide members toward plan options that better align with their needs, lifestyle, and budget—always prioritizing their well-being over a quick sale.
  • Resolving Benefit and Eligibility Questions: You will conduct thoughtful research and make outbound calls to provide accurate, timely answers to inquiries about healthcare benefits, eligibility, claim statuses, and enrollment information for both new and existing members.
  • Assisting with Online Account Navigation: Members will look to you for help logging into their online health portals, understanding how to use digital tools, and locating in-network doctors, specialists, and facilities within their area.
  • Delivering Empathetic, Solution-Focused Support: Whether a member is frustrated, confused, or simply seeking guidance, you will respond with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help. Your goal is to make every interaction feel personal and valued.
  • Maintaining Compliance and Confidentiality: You will consistently apply HIPAA guidelines and arenaflex's strict privacy standards to safeguard protected health information and ensure member trust.
  • Documenting Interactions Accurately: Each call, chat, and case will be carefully documented in our systems to ensure continuity of care, proper follow-up, and continuous improvement of the member experience.

What You Bring to the Role

We know that great service comes from great people. At arenaflex, we are looking for candidates who bring a combination of professional experience, personal integrity, and a heart for service.

Essential Qualifications

  • Customer Service Experience: A minimum of 6 months of customer-facing experience—whether in retail, hospitality, call center, healthcare, or another service-driven environment.
  • Commitment to Privacy: A strong sense of integrity and a thorough understanding of, or willingness to learn, HIPAA guidelines and patient privacy best practices.
  • Educational Foundation: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical Comfort: Basic computer experience, including comfort navigating multiple systems, typing efficiently, and learning new software platforms.
  • Reliable Home Office Setup: A high-speed internet connection (greater than 15 Mbps), a quiet and secure workspace, and a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) for daily log-in.
  • Headset Requirement: A USB wired headset is preferred. Some existing headsets may be compatible; however, Bluetooth headsets are not supported.
  • Residency: You must reside in one of the 40 approved U.S. states. At this time, arenaflex is not hiring from Alaska, California, Hawaii, or outside the United States. Candidates from Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington State, and Washington, D.C. will be considered based on special business needs.

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, insurance, or benefits-related customer service role
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, health plan structures, or member enrollment processes
  • Experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities (a plus, but not required)

Skills and Competencies for Success

To thrive as a Healthcare Customer Experience Specialist at arenaflex, you will draw on a blend of technical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Empathy and Active Listening: The ability to truly hear what members are saying—and what they aren't saying—and respond with care.
  • Clear Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
  • Problem-Solving Agility: A resourceful mindset and the ability to research, troubleshoot, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Resilience and Composure: The capacity to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in challenging or emotionally charged conversations.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with change, new technology, and evolving processes in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is critical in healthcare; you will need to capture and document information with precision.
  • Team Collaboration: A cooperative spirit and willingness to support teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to collective success.

Career Growth and Learning Opportunities

At arenaflex, your career is a journey, not just a job. From your very first day, you will be immersed in a structured, supportive, and engaging onboarding experience designed to set you up for long-term success. Our individualized, webcam-enabled training and engagement programs ensure you feel confident before you ever take your first live call.

Beyond initial training, we offer:

  • Ongoing Coaching and Development: Continuous performance coaching, real-time feedback, and mentorship from experienced team leads and managers.
  • Tuition Reimbursement: Financial support for approved courses, certifications, and degree programs that align with your career goals.
  • Internal Mobility: Clear pathways to grow into roles such as Senior Specialist, Quality Analyst, Team Lead, Training Facilitator, Operations Manager, and beyond.
  • Free Learning Library: Access to thousands of free courses covering leadership, communication, technical skills, healthcare industry topics, and personal development.
  • Leadership Development Programs: Structured programs for high-potential employees looking to accelerate into supervisory and management roles.

Whether you see yourself as a long-term specialist, a future leader, or someone exploring the broader healthcare industry, arenaflex will invest in your growth every step of the way.
