Overview

The Data Engineer supports the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and data platforms. This role focuses on learning and contributing to building scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data Support ETL/ELT processes for structured and unstructured data sources Work with engineers to troubleshoot and improve pipeline performance Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation Perform data cleansing, validation, and basic transformations Support development of reusable data components and scripts Assist in managing and monitoring data workflows in cloud environments (AWS, Cloudera, etc.) Support execution and scheduling of batch and real-time data jobs Help maintain development, test, and production environments Perform basic data validation and quality checks Document data flows, pipelines, and transformations Support adherence to data governance and security standards Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, analytics, product) to understand data requirements Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and agile ceremonies Continuously learn new tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related roles Basic programming knowledge in Python and/or SQL Understanding of data structures, databases, and ETL concepts Familiarity with cloud platforms or willingness to learn What you should expect in this role United States remote opportunity Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation The Deadline to submit applications for this posting is June 24, 2026 #LI-GD1 #LI-REMOTE The pay range for this position is $58,200.00 - $83,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
