Key Responsibilities

As a YouTube Chat Moderator at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and vibrancy of live chat environments across our partner channels. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Real-Time Chat Monitoring: Actively monitor live chat streams during broadcasts, identifying and removing spam, hate speech, harassment, inappropriate language, and content that violates community guidelines.
  • Community Guideline Enforcement: Apply platform-specific rules and arenaflex moderation policies consistently and fairly, issuing warnings, timeouts, or bans as appropriate to maintain a healthy chat atmosphere.
  • Viewer Engagement: Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by encouraging positive interactions, answering frequently asked questions, and prompting meaningful discussion in chat.
  • Escalation Management: Identify and escalate complex or sensitive issues to senior moderators, partner managers, or trust and safety teams in a timely manner.
  • Trend and Pattern Analysis: Track recurring moderation issues, emerging slang or coded language, and report trends to help improve automated filters and moderation playbooks.
  • Creator Support: Collaborate with content creators and channel managers to align on tone, moderation preferences, and event-specific rules for premieres, live Q&As, gaming streams, and product launches.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate logs of moderation actions, incident reports, and weekly summaries highlighting key metrics and observations.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with trust and safety, product, and partner enablement teams at arenaflex to share insights that improve the broader moderation ecosystem.
  • Feedback Contribution: Participate in training sessions, calibration exercises, and product feedback loops to continuously improve moderation quality and tooling.

Minimum Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should bring the following baseline experience and skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in communications, marketing, media studies, business, or a related field.
  • Digital Industry Familiarity: Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with online media, digital advertising, marketing, or business development environments.
  • Relationship Management: Demonstrated experience in customer relationship management, account management, or cross-functional project coordination.
  • Video Ecosystem Understanding: Practical experience or strong working knowledge of video advertising, YouTube creator tools, live streaming workflows, or video monetization models.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with creators, viewers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Translation Skills: Ability to interpret complex technical standards and translate them into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical audiences.
