[Remote] AI Creative Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Owner is an AI-native system designed to help local business owners, particularly in the restaurant industry, succeed by replacing multiple tools with a single solution. The AI Creative Engineer will be responsible for building and scaling the creative engine that generates and processes visual content for restaurants, ensuring high-quality outputs that align with brand identities.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end systems that generate and process restaurant imagery and video at scale
- Build a style system (presets + guidelines) that creates beautiful, brand-appropriate outputs across restaurant types
- Go deep with models and prompting to push quality, consistency, and creative range
- Ship pipelines and tooling for iteration, QA, and post-processing (upscaling, cleanup, framing, compression)
- Build evaluation loops (rubrics, goldens, review) so creative quality improves continuously
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, AI, and Launch teams to turn creative generation into a durable product advantage
Skills
- Exceptional art direction and photographic taste; you can look at an output and instantly know what's off and how to fix it
- Strong technical ability (you can code) and comfort building prototypes, scripts, and tooling to improve pipelines
- Deep curiosity and hands-on experience with modern image/video models, prompting, reference workflows, and iterative improvement
- A systems mindset: you care about reliability, cost, throughput, and guardrails—not just one-off great outputs
- High-ownership execution: you move quickly from insight to shipped improvements, and you're relentless about quality
- Customer empathy for restaurants and an instinct for brand expression, vibe, and what “looks right” for different cuisines and identities
