Amazon is a leading global company focused on customer-centric solutions, and they are seeking a Non-Tech Sourcing Recruiter to support their recruiting efforts for distribution and operations professionals. The role involves sourcing passive candidates, conducting interviews, and implementing recruitment strategies to ensure high-quality candidate engagement and service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Recruit passive candidates with the mentality to "profile people and gauge chemistry of candidates for fit and understand their motivation" rather than sell a role
- Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management
- Conduct in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences through high offer-to-interview ratios
- Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company
- Implement new processes and fine-tune standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon's mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer
- Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process
- Proactively source passive candidates using Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, X-ray search/Open web and other sourcing channels for remote sites
- Conduct candidate outreach and engagement to build interest and assess right fit
- Filter the right candidates during recruiter phone screen
- Conduct on-phone and virtual candidate screening process to assess qualification and skill alignment
- Use Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, X-ray search/Open web, GitHub and other sourcing tools
- Create targeted Boolean strings to identify candidates with niche technical skills across LinkedIn, X-ray search/Open web, GitHub, trade forums and specialized job boards
- Skilled at requirement gathering, sourcing and screening candidates in specialized technical fields
- Articulate role-based value proposition to the candidate
- Build strategies and brainstorm to create efficient and creative sourcing solutions for stakeholders
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Experience building and driving talent sourcing initiatives and pipelines
- Experience in progressive corporate or search firm recruiting with a focus on passive engineering candidate generation in a high-tech market
- 2+ years of passive candidate generation experience
- Experience executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
- Boolean and Advanced Search
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
