[Remote] Manager, Product Sourcing
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RTX Corporation is an Aerospace and Defense company that provides advanced systems and services for commercial, military and government customers worldwide. The Manager, Product Sourcing will develop strategic plans for commodities, collaborate with business units, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers to execute sourcing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develops a strategic plan for a commodity and supply base
- Collaborates with multiple business units to execute Supply Chain strategies
- Owns and responsible for relationship with multiple strategic suppliers
- Evaluates and selects supplier alignment based on price competitiveness, capability, quality, reliability (TCO)
- Analyzes data and information to determine reasonable prices
- Negotiates and executes long term agreements with supply base that aligns with commodity strategy and internal stakeholders needs
- Leads sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature
- Works with limited oversight from leadership
- Manages several projects at one time with a variety of complexity
- Clearly communicate commodity or project status to leadership
- Ability to identify and pursue VA/VE opportunities through collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Lead change management or work transfer projects for cost savings or better alignment with supply base
- Influence and support Collins strategic initiatives and change management projects
Skills
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
- Strong Analytical skill (Excel, Access database, SAP)
- Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and Commodity Management
- Experience with Connectors or Harness Assembly
- Results in negotiation, work transfer, or project execution
- Negotiations skills
