[Remote] Senior Android Mobile Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Android applications while collaborating with various teams and ensuring high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Android applications
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and backend teams
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical planning
- Build scalable solutions following MVVM architecture patterns
- Implement high-quality user experiences using modern Android frameworks
- Write maintainable, testable, and performant code
- Develop and maintain automated tests
- Ensure proper handling of permissions, security, and application lifecycle management
- Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices initiatives
- Support troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization efforts
Skills
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- 5+ years developing native Android applications
- Strong expertise in Kotlin
- Experience with MVVM architecture
- Experience consuming REST APIs using Retrofit
- Strong understanding of Android application lifecycle and architecture components
- Experience with JUnit testing
- Experience handling Android permissions and security best practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Kotlin Coroutines and/or RxJava
- Jetpack Compose
- Dependency Injection frameworks (Hilt, Dagger, or Koin)
- Jetpack Navigation
- Espresso or Mockito testing
- CI/CD experience for mobile applications
- Previous experience supporting initiatives with JPMorgan Chase
