About arenaflex – Pioneering the Future of Insurance Technology

arenaflex is a market‑leading insurance organization that is redefining how customers buy and manage coverage in the digital age. With a heritage of more than 75 years, arenaflex combines deep industry expertise with a relentless focus on technology‑driven transformation. Our mission is to deliver friction‑less experiences, protect policyholders with the highest reliability, and empower teams to innovate at speed. As part of this journey, we are building a world‑class engineering culture where psychological safety, continuous improvement, and bold experimentation are the norm.

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior CRM Customer Acquisition Engineer to lead the design, development, and operation of high‑performance, low‑latency platforms that power our customer acquisition funnel. In this role you will partner with cross‑functional teams—including arenaflex CRM, infrastructure, architecture, release management, application security, and product owners—to modernize legacy workflows, create reusable components, and drive end‑to‑end delivery of mission‑critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect & Build Distributed Systems: Scope, design, and implement scalable, resilient services that handle millions of acquisition events per day.
  • Product Definition & Technical Leadership: Translate business goals into technical specifications, champion the right solution, and own the delivery roadmap.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work hand‑in‑hand with arenaflex CRM, infrastructure, architecture, and business stakeholders throughout the full software lifecycle—from ideation to testing and production rollout.
  • Design Sessions & Code Reviews: Lead architecture workshops, mentor peers, and conduct rigorous code reviews to elevate engineering quality across the organization.
  • Reusable Component Development: Create and maintain libraries, patterns, and services that can be leveraged by multiple product teams, reducing duplication and accelerating delivery.
  • Developer Tooling & arenaflex Cloud Platform: Leverage arenaflex’s suite of cloud services, task‑management tools, source‑code repositories, build pipelines, deployment automation, and real‑time monitoring to drive efficient development cycles.
  • Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior engineers, disseminate best practices, and champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence: Own the reliability, performance, and security of the services you build, employing observability, automated testing, and incident‑response processes.

Essential Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience with at least two modern languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) and a solid foundation in object‑oriented design.
  • 3+ years designing and implementing architecture for new and existing systems, emphasizing reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • 3+ years hands‑on experience with arenaflex Cloud Services (or comparable public‑cloud platforms) including infrastructure‑as‑code, container orchestration, and serverless compute.
  • 2+ years working with open‑source frameworks and libraries, such as Spring Boot, Apache Camel, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and consume RESTful and SOAP web services, and to integrate enterprise middleware layers.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven track record of leading technical projects and interacting directly with business sponsors and product owners.
  • Advanced understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing strategies.
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., arenaflex Database solutions) and proficiency in writing performant SQL queries.

Preferred Qualifications & Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience with modern front‑end frameworks such as Flutter or React, and a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with arenaflex CRM platform concepts, including custom object creation, validation rules, workflow automation, and Apex‑like scripting languages.
  • Exposure to event‑driven integration patterns and experience building robust event‑based architectures.
  • Knowledge of data‑platform technologies such as arenaflex CDP (Customer Data Platform) for real‑time personalization.
  • Hands‑on experience with version‑control systems (e.g., arenaflex source control), pull‑request workflows, and branch‑management strategies.
  • Prior work in fast‑paced, startup‑like environments where priorities shift rapidly and delivery speed is paramount.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Technical Acumen: Deep expertise in backend development, cloud architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to dissect complex problems, propose elegant solutions, and iterate quickly.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who thrives in a matrixed environment and can influence without authority.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated mentorship, coaching, and the capacity to raise the technical bar for peers.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with ambiguity, rapid change, and evolving business priorities.
  • Quality Focus: Commitment to writing clean, testable code and to maintaining high standards of reliability and security.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities

At arenaflex, your career trajectory is limited only by your ambition. As a senior engineer you will:

  • Gain exposure to enterprise‑scale insurance operations and the chance to influence strategic product direction.
  • Participate in a robust technical mentorship program, with access to senior architects, data scientists, and product leaders.
  • Attend industry conferences, internal hackathons, and continuous‑learning workshops funded by arenaflex.
  • Explore pathways to lead larger engineering squads, become a principal architect, or transition into product management roles.
  • Leverage arenaflex’s tuition reimbursement and certification programs to deepen expertise in cloud, AI/ML, or security domains.

Our engineering hubs are designed for open communication, with flexible work‑from‑home options, ergonomic workstations, and dedicated “innovation labs” for rapid prototyping. • Transparent leadership communication and a clear roadmap that aligns business goals with technical execution.
  • Recognition programs that reward both individual contributions and team achievements.

  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with generous company matching.
  • Paid Time Off: Vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and flexible holidays to support work‑life balance.
