Bilingual Remote Customer Service Representative – English & Canadian French Specialist | Full-Time Position in Maine at arenaflex

Remote · USA Full-time New today

About This Opportunity

Do you have an infectious personality, a genuine passion for helping others, and the ability to turn ordinary conversations into extraordinary experiences? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you. arenaflex is transforming the pet industry as one of the fastest-growing e-commerce retailers of all time, and we are actively seeking talented, motivated, and compassionate individuals to join our award-winning customer service organization. This is not just a job — it is an invitation to become part of something meaningful, impactful, and genuinely fun.

We are looking for full-time Remote Customer Service Representatives who reside within the state of Maine. In this role, you will work comfortably from home while supporting pet parents across the country who rely on arenaflex for everything their furry, feathered, and scaly companions need. From the joy of shopping for a new pet to the reassurance of resolving an issue when something doesn't go as planned, you will be the human connection that makes the arenaflex experience truly special. Your starting wage will be $15.50 per hour, with ample opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career while enjoying the flexibility of remote work.

Let us be clear: we are not looking for order-takers or script-readers. We are searching for dynamic thinkers who can engage with customers authentically, handle unexpected situations with composure and creativity, and bring a genuine passion for helping others to every single interaction. If you love pets, that's a wonderful bonus — but even more important is your desire to make a real difference in someone's day. Every call you take is an opportunity to brighten a pet parent's life, and we take that responsibility seriously.

What You'll Do as a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex

As a key member of the arenaflex customer service team, you will serve as the primary voice and face of our brand for thousands of pet parents who reach out for support, guidance, and connection. Your days will be varied, dynamic, and deeply rewarding. Here is a closer look at what your responsibilities will include:

  • Engage directly with customers across a wide range of topics — from helping a first-time pet parent navigate their initial purchase and find the perfect chew toy, to problem-solving when an order doesn't arrive as expected. You will be the trusted advisor and problem-solver that customers rely on.
  • Research and resolve issues with precision and empathy, thinking critically and proactively to determine the best possible outcome for every customer. You will set follow-ups when needed to ensure complete contact resolution, leaving no pet parent feeling unheard or unsatisfied.
  • Lead every interaction with understanding, active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness — not only toward customers but also toward your fellow arenaflex team members. A collaborative, respectful culture starts with each of us.
  • Approach every day with a willingness to learn and grow. We believe in the power of feedback — both giving it and receiving it. You will operate within a culture that is open-minded, curious, and genuinely invested in your personal and professional development.
  • Collaborate virtually with teammates, your direct manager, and cross-functional partners across multiple levels of the organization using tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcam-enabled meetings. Together, you will help cultivate an infectious, customer-centric culture of collaboration that extends far beyond individual interactions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional customer service experience, demonstrating your ability to handle high-volume interactions with grace, professionalism, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and listening modalities, which will be validated through a comprehensive written assessment as part of the application process.
  • Full fluency in both Canadian French (Québécois) and English. This bilingual capability is essential to serving our diverse customer base effectively and compassionately.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities, including the capacity to maintain a natural, engaging phone conversation while simultaneously navigating computer systems, taking detailed notes, and retrieving relevant information — all in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using computers for both data entry and rapid system navigation, including searching the internet and internal knowledge bases to find the information needed to support customers thoroughly and accurately.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing business needs, including the willingness to adjust your schedule and work overtime when required by the business unit to ensure our customers always receive the support they deserve.

  • Prior experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment, demonstrating self-discipline, time management skills, and the ability to stay productive and motivated without a traditional office structure.
  • A genuine love for pets — whether you have dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, or any other wonderful companions at home. Our most passionate team members are those who truly understand and relate to the pet parent experience.
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, knowledge base platforms, or helpdesk tools in a previous role.
  • Background in e-commerce or retail customer service, with an understanding of the unique dynamics and expectations of online shopping support.
  • Familiarity with virtual collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools used in distributed team environments.

Technical and Workspace Requirements

Because this is a fully remote position, arenaflex has established clear technical and workspace standards to ensure you can perform at your best and deliver an outstanding experience for our customers. Please review the following requirements carefully before applying:

  • Dedicated workspace: You must have a designated work area large enough to comfortably accommodate your computer monitors, keyboard, and other equipment. The space must be free from distractions and background noise that could impact the customer experience during calls.

  • High-speed internet connection: You are responsible for providing a reliable, wired, high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 30 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. You can verify your connection at speedtest.net or by contacting your internet service provider. This requirement is mandatory and must be demonstrated as part of the onboarding process.
  • Equipment provision: arenaflex will provide your computer, monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam. You only need to supply the reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace.
  • No traditional phone line required: A separate landline phone is not necessary for this role. However, you must have access to a smartphone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication via Okta Verify. Acceptable options include:
    • A smartphone or tablet on which the Okta mobile application can be downloaded.
    • A standard cell phone capable of receiving SMS text messages and voice calls for authentication purposes.
