Online Special Education Teacher in LA
A special education teaching opportunity is available for an Early Interventionist working with children aged 3 to 4 years. This role involves providing specialized support as part of a team dedicated to early childhood intervention through telehealth and in-person sessions. Location Arcadia, Louisiana Position Type Contract, Part-Time Dates August 3, 2026 – May 21, 2027 (dates may be subject to change) Schedule Approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days a week (2 days spent in the northern region and 2 days in the southern region)
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver early intervention services to children aged 3-4 with special needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize telehealth methods alongside onsite visits to maximize student support
- Monitor and document progress in compliance with state regulations and educational best practices Qualifications and Experience
- Valid Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate
- Experience in early childhood special education, preferably with telehealth service delivery
- Strong understanding of early intervention strategies and child development principles
