Trainee (w/m/d) Supply Chain Management und Logistik

Remote · USA Full-time New today

Join Our Team As a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, we are looking for forward thinkers with unconventional ideas and drive to join our team. Our company culture, which values collaboration and mutual trust, creates the ideal framework for boldly trying new things and questioning the status quo. Our technologies inspire people to develop and produce things that are currently unimaginable. Whether lasers, machine tools, EUV or electronics - TRUMPF is building technological worlds for future generations. Are you ready for new challenges? Your New Role

  • In our 18-month rotational program, you will gain comprehensive insight into various logistics areas at TRUMPF in Germany and abroad. You will shape your individual development path and then start in your permanent position.
  • You will systematically analyze the entire supply chain for services from suppliers through global hubs to the end customer, identify optimization potentials, and develop innovative solution approaches.
  • By actively participating in the analysis and design of our global logistics network, you will evaluate the performance of our worldwide warehouses and identify potentials for higher availability and optimized inventory.
  • As a link between our plants and central functions – such as technical customer service, development, and procurement – you will synchronize operational processes and actively contribute to the strategic development of our global, interdisciplinary footprint. You will moderate the diverse functional interfaces to combine different objectives in a consistent global operations strategy.
  • In close exchange with internal departments, you will bring in impulses, coordinate work packages, and actively contribute to cross-departmental initiatives. You will continuously build a global network within the organization and will also be supported by an experienced manager as a mentor.

What We Look For

  • A successfully completed master’s degree in business administration, business engineering, or business informatics – ideally with a focus on logistics, operations, or supply chain management.
  • Proven knowledge of end-to-end processes, inventory management, and the management of service providers, supplemented by initial practical experience in SCM and global logistics at relevant companies. You also have initial international experience, such as through a semester abroad or an internship.
  • You are comfortable working with key figures and complex data sets, and you derive targeted optimization potentials for service levels from them. You have initial experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP S/4HANA), advanced Excel skills, and basic knowledge of data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • You are characterized by initiative and proactive thinking: you recognize optimization potentials in the process chain and develop well-founded solution proposals before operational bottlenecks arise. As a communication-savvy team player, you confidently moderate complex interfaces in supply chain management.
  • Fluent German and very good English skills in speech and writing enable you to work smoothly in an international environment.

What We Offer

  • An innovative work environment with state-of-the-art equipment and the latest technology that promotes efficiency and creativity.
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely, so you can optimally coordinate your professional and private commitments.
  • A value-based work environment in a family-owned company where diversity and equal opportunities are highly valued.
  • Various fitness and sports programs that help you stay active and network.
  • Daily freshly prepared, healthy meals at discounted prices that you can enjoy in our company restaurant or conveniently take away.

You can apply until 14.06.2026 with your complete documents (CV, certificates). Trusting in brave ideas - that is our promise to you. We encourage our employees to turn their own ideas into reality through entrepreneurial thinking, team spirit, and initiative.
