Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of mechanical engineering design, specification preparation, estimating, and inspection work involved in the design, construction, and maintenance of Department facilities and systems

Skills

• Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment
• If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification
• You must provide a valid California Drivers License (CDL)
• Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required
• SOQ must include Mechanical Engineering degree info, Mechanical PE licensing info, and EIT or FE certificate info
• SOQs must demonstrate your ability to prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for mechanical systems
• SOQs must demonstrate your ability to design, provide construction support, inspections, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
• SOQs must demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, guides, standards, safety orders, and regulatory agencies
• SOQs must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• SOQs must demonstrate ability to work well and collaborate with others
• Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date
• Resume is optional. It may be included, but is not required
