Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking a detail‑oriented, tech‑savvy Remote Live Chat Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic Data Operations team. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between live‑chat interactions, customer‑voice analytics, and our enterprise‑wide big‑data ecosystem. You will be responsible for capturing, cleansing, and enriching conversational data, ensuring that every piece of information is accurately reflected in our foundational data platform. Your work will directly influence product development, customer experience enhancements, and strategic decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with utility and product teams to translate business requirements into precise data capture specifications for live‑chat sessions.
  • Collect, validate, and enrich voice‑of‑the‑customer (VOC) data, feeding it into the core data lake built on Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, and Spark technologies.
  • Design and maintain robust data models that support standardized metric definitions and enable efficient analytics across multiple business domains.
  • Develop and execute batch and real‑time data pipelines using PySpark, Python, and Shell scripting to ensure high‑quality, low‑latency data delivery.
  • Perform rigorous data testing, including edge‑case validation and performance benchmarking, to guarantee accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve data processing efficiency, leveraging automation tools and best‑in‑class data engineering practices.
  • Partner with the Global Services Network (GSN) and Advanced Engineering Team (AET) to prioritize, scope, and monitor data initiatives aligned with VOC “Stop‑Loss” strategies.
  • Document data workflows, create clear SOPs, and train cross‑functional stakeholders on data entry standards and usage.
  • Continuously monitor data quality metrics, proactively identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions to maintain data integrity.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies—daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives—to deliver incremental value and adapt to evolving business needs.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience with Hive/Hadoop ecosystems, PySpark, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Proven track record of delivering data‑centric solutions in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, ETL processes, and big‑data architecture.
  • Excellent typing speed (≥80 WPM) with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables, working closely with product owners and business analysts.
  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
