You will serve as a key contributor to our Scientific Issues group, helping internal and external stakeholders make data-informed decisions that improve patient care and drive therapeutic innovation.

This is a full-time remote opportunity based in North Carolina, USA, with flexible work hours totaling 8 hours per day. The role reports directly to the Director of Clinical Data Science and offers a competitive hourly compensation of $20–$30, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Mining and Preparation: Mine raw, complex datasets to deliver standardized, analysis-ready patient cohorts from internal data assets or licensed platforms. Interpret findings and help shape overall analytical strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various members of the arenaflex Clinical Trial team to deliver meaningful insights from real-world, clinical, and supplementary data sources that support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial submissions.
  • Disease State and Treatment Analysis: Conduct analyses of unmet medical needs, treatment safety and efficacy in specific disease states, treatment patterns, healthcare economic burden, and cost-effectiveness modeling.
  • Data Engineering and Storage: Clean, transform, and store data into a unified, organized data lake for future analysis and broader team utilization, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Advanced Statistical Modeling: Perform data mining and statistical analyses to examine RWE/RWD, uncovering new insights related to patient populations, treatment outcomes, and healthcare utilization patterns.
  • Platform and Capability Development: Support the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities by applying advanced analytics tools to address scientific inquiries from biopharmaceutical clients.
  • Outcomes Research: Collaborate on the design and execution of outcomes research studies, ensuring methodological soundness and clinical relevance.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high-quality, rigorous, and readily interpretable deliverables from RWE studies and analytical projects.
  • Dashboard and Reporting: Build interactive dashboards, analytical tools, and comprehensive reports for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Conduct due diligence on new real-world data providers and vendors, and drive RWD quality assessments to inform strategic procurement and investment decisions.
