See what life is about at BCD M&E at bcdme.com/careers About the role: We are looking for a Contract Solutions Specialist for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract . In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating the customer’s individual global program hotel and venue contract agreements, amendments and addendums, as well as master service agreements (MSA) to ensure both commercial and legal terms are compliant and mitigate risk for the firm. In addition, you’ll handle destination management (DMC) and Audio-Visual Supplier contracts, Statement of Work (SOW), Data Transfer Agreements (DTA). Letter of Intents (LOI) and Direct Bills application forms – any contractual engagement our customer would require to plan and execute its internal events. You will work on a dedicated customer account, the customer has an extensive book of work, including annual meetings that are large and complex by nature and cover the USA, Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific regions ranging from 25 up to 3000+ attendees. As an Contract Solutions Specialist, you will: Collaborate with the client's meetings and events team, Supplier Management Contracts Lead, internal legal and insurance teams, senior global operations manager, and regional sourcing team leads to enhance efficiencies and best practices in contracting. Work closely with the customer’s internal stakeholders and the BCD global sourcing team to provide proactive, strategic support in areas such as program contracts, addenda, SOW development, and MSA. Oversee the contracting process, including accuracy proofreading, thorough review, and negotiation of commercial and legal terms and conditions in line with established standards and best practices across various supplier categories in the meetings and events industry (e.g., hotel and venue contracts, Addendum and MSA, DMC agreements). Coordinate with the BCD Global Sourcing Team and hotel partners’ global sales offices, as well as hotel legal and insurance teams, to negotiate fair and reasonable terms and conditions for the customer. Complete a checklist summary for the client regarding non-compliant terms and conditions. Act as a strategic advisor to the customer, addressing contractual risks when negotiations are stalled, serving as the contract SME and thought partner for internal stakeholders. Initiate contracts for signature using Adobe Sign. Develop SOPs, templates and contract training for internal stakeholders. Assist with AI and technology pilots and testing, such as Luminance. You’re good at: Managing contracts from review, through negotiation to execution; either as the signatory, or on behalf of a client of yours. Demonstrating extensive knowledge of the Meetings & Events industry, including sourcing and managing global events, with a solid understanding of industry terminology. Meeting tight deadlines whilst maintaining outstanding attention to detail Communicating clearly, concisely & honestly to build & maintain senior stakeholder relationships Working in a complex and global team environment motivates you to continually strive for excellence while navigating highly intricate topics to achieve the best outcomes. You might also have: A legal background, either by way of education and/or working experience Procurement experience All of the above, but not within the Meetings & Events industry Love to have fun doing negotiations and contracts You should know: This role can be either fully remote in UK, Spain or Netherlands or hybrid with days spent in one of our local offices This is a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months Our standard working hours are 9:00am-5:30pm with an hour lunch break You must have the right to work in the country you are applying.
