We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Remote Pharmacist – Centralized Services & Data Operations Specialist to join our growing team. Position Overview

The Remote Pharmacist – Centralized Services & Data Operations Specialist at arenaflex is responsible for executing core clinical pharmacy services, processing prescriptions with precision, and driving patient wellbeing outcomes from a remote setting. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist who thrives in a structured, technology-enabled environment and is passionate about combining clinical expertise with operational excellence.

Reporting to the Centralized Services leadership team, you will be entrusted with implementing patient intervention pharmacy programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the financial performance of the pharmacy through accurate data management and clinical program execution. You will also serve as a trusted resource and subject matter expert for field pharmacists, leadership, and clinical partners across assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Patient Care Programs: Execute direct patient care initiatives including Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services coordination, and Payer/Pharma Adherence and Clinical Programs.
  • Prescription Processing: Accurately process prescriptions from a remote setting, ensuring proper verification, safety checks, and timely fulfillment in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Compliance & Quality Improvement: Drive compliance and continuous quality improvement in clinical pharmacy patient care by analyzing outcomes, monitoring performance metrics, and redesigning workflows to enhance service delivery.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that regional pharmacy operations comply with all regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, HIPAA guidelines, and FDA regulations.
  • Financial Performance: Align business strategies with organizational financial goals by executing patient intervention programs that maximize reimbursement while improving patient health outcomes.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement: Support efforts to elevate the patient experience by emphasizing healthcare services such as patient consultations, medication management, drug therapy reviews, and specialty programs.
  • Education & Mentorship: Provide expertise, educational resources, and support to pharmacists and field leadership. Promote staff development through training experiences, growth opportunities, and collaborative engagement.
  • Clinical Reviews: Conduct data and clinical audits, taking corrective action as needed to ensure medication accuracy, appropriateness, and safety.
  • Patient Profile Review: Review medication histories and patient profiles to confirm safe and effective drug therapy, providing individualized consultation to patients and providers.
  • Communication & Trust Building: Build patient trust through active listening, empathy, and providing a reliable sounding board for pharmacy-related concerns.
  • Program Feedback: Gather and report feedback regarding the effectiveness of client retention programs, including patient testimonials and consultation outcomes.
  • Clinical Advisory: Deliver clinical guidance and information to patients, prescribers, and insurance plans as needed.
  • Policy Compliance: Follow all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and standard operating procedures while performing job duties.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice, granted by the appropriate state licensing authority.
  • Confidentiality: Demonstrated experience working with sensitive, confidential information in a professional setting.
  • Leadership: Experience inspiring team members to investigate and resolve complex problems.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work non-standard hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as business needs require.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and follow through on details across projects with varying completion dates.
  • Self-Direction: Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment in escalating issues when appropriate.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, including in-state and out-of-state engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to obtain additional state pharmacy licenses as required to support organizational growth.
  • Working knowledge of insurance plans, payer systems, and reimbursement structures.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operating systems such as Radio, Commitment, and Plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including opening workbooks, formatting cells, using formulas, and printing worksheets.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including slide creation, editing, and presentation delivery.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, including document creation, formatting, and review features.
