Role Overview

This position is a part‑time, remote role that blends data entry, analysis, and visualization to support the Flight Operations Safety and Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) initiatives. The Integrated Data Analyst will serve as the subject‑matter expert for the Integrated Data Collection and Analysis Tool (IDCAT), ensuring accurate data capture, robust reporting, and actionable insights that drive safety and training excellence across arenaflex.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly FAA reports, adhering to regulatory deadlines and internal quality standards.
• Administer all updates and enhancements to the IDCAT software platform, providing user support and feedback monitoring for Flight Instructors and Evaluators during observation data entry.
• Perform comprehensive administrative duties related to IDCAT, including account management, new command support, and system configuration.
• Download raw Tableau data to the arenaflex server, refresh existing dashboards, and create new visualizations that highlight trends and performance metrics.
• Analyze, design, and visualize data in Tableau workbooks and dashboards, translating complex datasets into clear, actionable stories for senior leadership.
• Classify and aggregate Instructor/Evaluator measured devices and feedback for assessment, ensuring consistency across all training modules.
• Support IDCAT observation form design, generate data collection forms, and maintain data integrity within the software.
• Conduct daily training data analyses as defined in AC 120‑54A, identifying gaps in effectiveness and presenting findings to the Flight Ops Safety team.
• Assist with quarterly data reviews for the Data Integration Group (DIG) and AQP, delivering data requests and supporting the Flight Ops Training staff.
• Execute IDCAT Inter‑Rater Reliability data analysis and facilitate the development of IDCAT educational content.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors, contributing to cross‑functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Aviation Management, or a related field; high school diploma or GED is also required.
• Experience: Minimum 2‑3 years of hands‑on experience in data analysis, data visualization, and database management, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Tableau (or comparable BI tools), Alteryx, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Analytical Ability: Demonstrated capacity to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate data with meticulous attention to detail.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FAA reporting requirements and AC 120‑54A standards is highly desirable.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Citizenship: U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Integrated Data Collection and Analysis Tool (IDCAT) or similar aviation training platforms.
• Background in statistical analysis, including familiarity with hypothesis testing, regression, and reliability metrics.
• Knowledge of airline operations, flight training processes, and safety management systems.
• Prior exposure to Agile or Scrum project methodologies, enhancing collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Certification in data analytics (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).

• Hourly Rate: $30‑$40 per hour, commensurate with experience and expertise.
