Our mission is to make health and convenience accessible to every customer, every day. As part of this mission, arenaflex continuously invests in technology, people, and innovative processes that keep us at the forefront of the retail‑pharmacy industry.

We are proud of a culture that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning. Whether you work in a bustling store, a corporate office, or from the comfort of your home, you are an essential member of the arenaflex family. Our remote workforce plays a critical role in ensuring that patients receive accurate medication information, timely support, and a seamless experience—no matter where they are located.

Position Overview

arenaflex is seeking motivated, detail‑oriented individuals to join our Remote Data Entry team on a part‑time basis. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between patients, pharmacists, and prescribers, handling medication data, processing refill requests, and providing courteous customer service—all while adhering to strict privacy and compliance standards. This position offers flexible scheduling, a competitive hourly rate of $23 per hour, and the opportunity to develop specialized skills in pharmacy operations and health‑care data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Verification: Accurately input patient medication information, prescription refill orders, and related data into arenaflex’s proprietary pharmacy management system, following HIPAA‑compliant procedures.
  • Medication Request Processing: Review and process new medication enrollment requests, ensuring all required fields are completed and any missing information is promptly obtained from patients or prescribers.
  • Clinical Documentation Interpretation: Decode and enter abbreviated clinical instructions (e.g., SIG codes) into the system, guaranteeing that dosage and administration details are correctly captured.
  • Patient Communication: Respond to inbound calls, messages, and emails from patients, providing clear guidance on medication status, refill timelines, and next‑step instructions.
  • Outbound Coordination: Initiate outbound calls to prescribers, pharmacies, or patients when clarification or additional authorization is needed, documenting all interactions in the system.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve “outside oddball” cases—unusual or complex scenarios that require additional research, data correction, or escalation to senior staff.
  • Support for Pharmacy Professionals: Offer timely assistance to on‑site and remote pharmacists, escalating technical or procedural concerns as appropriate.
  • Compliance & Certification: Obtain and maintain a dynamic professional certification within the first 90 days of employment, and keep the certification current throughout your tenure.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (any discipline).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a retail pharmacy or call‑center environment, demonstrating familiarity with pharmacy workflows and customer service standards.
  • Proven ability to type at least 25 words per minute with high accuracy; experience with transcription and data entry is preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Windows operating systems, web browsers, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Advanced typing speed of 35+ words per minute, with demonstrated accuracy in high‑volume environments.
  • Experience handling bilingual communications (English and Spanish) to serve a diverse patient base.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Customer‑service certifications or training that emphasize empathy, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet daily productivity targets.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in data entry and documentation to prevent medication errors.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret clinical abbreviations, resolve discrepancies, and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Excellence: Clear, courteous interaction with patients, prescribers, and internal teams.
  • Adaptability: Comfort navigating evolving processes, technology updates, and regulatory changes.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with pharmacists, supervisors, and other remote agents to achieve shared goals.
