Job Summary

arenaflex is seeking an experienced Client Account Manager to oversee the CPG vertical within our Large Customer Sales division. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with Client Partners to execute marketing campaigns from inception through optimization, ensuring our CPG clients achieve their advertising objectives. The ideal candidate will be based in Chicago and will serve as the primary strategic contact for major consumer package goods brands, guiding them through campaign launches, providing insightful recommendations, and driving continuous improvement in their advertising performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Campaign Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Client Partners to develop, execute, and optimize advertising campaigns that align with client marketing goals and deliver measurable Results
  • End-to-End Campaign Management: Lead complete campaign launches including planning, implementation, tracking, and performance analysis while providing actionable insights to both agency and client partners
  • Account Operations Leadership: Manage all internal account operations, ensuring seamless coordination between cross-functional teams and maintaining exceptional client satisfaction
  • Value Proposition Education: Educate brands and media agencies on arenaflex's unique value proposition, platform capabilities, and industry best practices to maximize campaign effectiveness
  • Consultative Advisory Services: Advise clients on their awareness and direct response objectives, crafting comprehensive media plans that align with their marketing funnel and business targets
  • Technical Campaign Delivery: Collaborate closely with Advertising Operations teams to ensure flawless campaign delivery, resolving technical issues promptly and maintaining optimal campaign performance
  • Cross-Functional Representation: Effectively represent client needs and requirements to internal stakeholders including product, engineering, and marketing teams to drive solutions and improvements
  • Proactive Improvement Identification: Continuously identify areas of opportunity for campaign optimization, client growth, and process enhancement, taking initiative to implement best practices
  • Relationship Cultivation: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with external partners including brands, agencies, and media buyers through exceptional service and strategic guidance
  • Performance Reporting: Analyze campaign data and provide detailed performance reports with strategic recommendations to drive ongoing client success and account growth

Essential Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: Minimum five (5+) years of progressive experience in advertising sales and account management, with proven success managing client relationships in the consumer package goods industry
  • Marketing Expertise: Solid understanding of the customer marketing funnel and traditional marketing ecosystem, including awareness, consideration, conversion, and loyalty stages
  • Analytical Capabilities: Demonstrated comfort working with problems of diverse scope requiring data analysis, statistical interpretation, and strategic decision-making
  • Digital Marketing Knowledge: Understanding of digital measurement and tracking fundamentals, including impression tracking, click-through metrics, conversion attribution, and platform analytics
  • Problem-Solving Approach: Tenacious and entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate challenges creatively and persist through obstacles to deliver results
  • Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong, productive relationships with external partners including brands, agencies, and media organizations

  • Previous experience working with major CPG brands and consumer packaged goods advertising campaigns

  • Knowledge of social media advertising ecosystems and their unique measurement capabilities
