The Opportunity

arenaflex is seeking an exceptional Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics to lead our critical mission of maintaining platform integrity and user safety. Role Overview

The Senior Director, Global Head of Adversarial Abuse and Analytics will lead our comprehensive efforts to identify, prevent, and mitigate adversarial abuse across arenaflex's platforms. This dual-leadership role oversees both our Adversarial Abuse team and Business Analytics functions, providing strategic direction while maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced, globally-distributed environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Leadership of Adversarial Abuse Team: Oversee all aspects of adversarial abuse detection and mitigation, including account takeovers, terminated users, engagement abuse, spam, and emerging threats.
  • Analytics Team Management: Lead the Business Analytics team responsible for measuring abuse, interpreting complex datasets, generating actionable insights, and producing transparency reports for global stakeholders.
  • Strategic Risk Management: Identify, anticipate, and intelligently moderate risks from new and emerging industry trends, including advanced threats like generative AI abuse.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with Policy Development teams to create comprehensive policies utilizing account, social, and content signals to define malicious behavior.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure effective and efficient operational execution with rigorous quality standards and service level agreements across our 24x7 global team.
  • Talent Development: Attract, retain, develop, and mentor exceptional talent, creating a high-performing, inclusive work environment.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Manage escalations with rapid response times, provide data-driven insights, implement solutions, and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical insights
  • At least 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that form data infrastructure and ML models
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks as escalations require
  • Strong background in managing globally distributed teams across multiple time zones
  • Experience in developing and implementing abuse detection systems and processes
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on operational oversight
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills in complex, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., research, engineering, data science)
  • Additional 2 years of experience in analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse initiatives
  • Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab or similar analytical tools
  • Deep understanding of platform safety, trust, and security principles
  • Experience with content moderation policies and enforcement at scale
  • Knowledge of emerging threats in digital platforms and social media
