Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound telephone inquiries in a 24/7/365 Claims Contact Center, providing timely and empathetic assistance.
  • Initiate auto and homeowner claims by gathering preliminary loss information from agents, insureds, and third parties.
  • Explain the claims process clearly, outlining next steps, expectations, and available services such as roadside assistance or rental cars.
  • Authorize services when appropriate, ensuring customers receive the support they need quickly.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of every customer interaction within the claim file.
  • Provide status updates on existing claims, keeping customers informed throughout the lifecycle of their case.
  • Continuously update job knowledge through intermittent training, incorporating new policies and procedures into daily work.
  • Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to share best practices, troubleshoot challenges, and celebrate successes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Prior customer service experience preferred; remote contact‑center experience is a plus.
  • Typing proficiency: Minimum 30 words per minute with at least 90% accuracy.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills; proficient in written English.
