Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will take on critical responsibilities aimed at improving patient quality of life. Your daily tasks will include:
- Taking and accurately recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and respiration rates, as per physician directives.
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), which include bathing, grooming, and dressing, ensuring their personal hygiene and comfort.
- Supporting clients with prescribed exercises and collaborating with physical therapists in rehabilitation efforts when applicable.
- Providing guidance to clients and their families on self-care techniques, answering questions to enhance understanding and compliance with care plans.
- Accompanying and assisting clients in preparing for medical appointments, ensuring they receive necessary care and follow-up.
- Performing lifting, turning, and weighing of clients, following proper procedures to maintain patient safety.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Tennessee, with new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Registration and good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry.
- A valid Tennessee driver's license, reliable transportation in good working condition, and current automobile liability insurance.
Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with the following experiences are preferred:
- At least one year of full-time, direct client care experience in institutional settings such as hospitals or nursing facilities.
- A demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to the needs of patients, maintaining professional relationships, and effectively communicating observations and care requirements to supervisors.
