Staff Accountant

Nexamp is a company focused on clean energy solutions, and they are seeking a Staff Accountant to join their Asset Management Accounting team. The role involves supporting the monthly financial close and reporting processes, preparing journal entries, maintaining account reconciliations, and assisting in delivering financial information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries for the financial close, which include (but are not limited) to prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, debt, revenue, etc
  • Maintain supporting schedules and cash reconciliation for month end close, ensuring accuracy to balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare financial statement reporting packages and various deliverables to investors and lenders
  • Assist in the creation/development of financing packages for lenders for projects that are in construction
  • Support Accounting team via ad hoc projects and analysis as requested by management

Skills

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 1 year of relevant work across accounting, with public experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ability to use standard computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly responsibilities while adapting to shifting priorities
  • Sound judgment, strong ownership, and the ability to seek guidance or escalate issues when appropriate
  • Understanding of how accurate, timely work supports financial reporting and broader business outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating information, ideas, and perspectives with people inside and beyond your organization

  • Ability to ask appropriate questions, analyze data, identify the root causes of problems, and present creative solutions
